The materials
- 
The main shield material that gives the shield dome effect.
 - 
The second material used id for the shock waves on the sphere itself, they have an opacity mask panning on it.
 - 
The last material if used for the rock spikes and included in the Niagara system.
 
THE SHIELD DOME EFFECT
- 
This effect was made in the Niagara system in unreal engine 5.
 - 
The entire rendering was taken from a level sequencer.
 - 
The shield effect consists of a material applied to a sphere.
 - 
The shock waves on the sphere are meshed and created in Houdini.
 

The meshes and textures
- 
One of the meshes used is the sphere while the other one is the spike rock mesh.
 - 
The third mesh used is the shocks which are modeled in Houdini using procedural modeling.
