
THE POWERUP EFFECT

This effect was made as one of the powered attacks in the indie game I worked on (Rudra)

This effect is also made in Niagara system unreal 5
 - 
The ground textures do also cast on uneven surface.
 
The niagara emitter
- 
This is the Niagara system with different emitters that together contribute to the effect.
 - 
This system has a mesh used for the rays on the ground.
 - 
Also, the fire-like particles are sphere meshes with material around it.
 - 
The texture on the ground is emitter by plane mesh.
 - 
The inward aura is also a mesh with a material on it.
 


The meshes and textures
- 
There are two meshes used: the bucket-shaped mesh and the spiral model (modeled in Maya)
 - 
The textures are all hand painted in photoshop.
 
The materials
- 
There are three materials used to achieve the effect.
 - 
One of the materials is used for the effect of the rays from the ground.
 - 
The other one is used for the ground texture.
 - 
For the inward aura effect, the material is used for two emitters by alternating their dynamic parameter values.
