The niagara emitter and cascade system

  • One of the Niagara systems is the black ribbons that come out from the portal.

  • The other emitter spawns some thunder meshes.

  • The last emitter is the light renderer that makes the light on the portal change.

The materials

  • The material used for this effect are pretty basic material with some having the emissive on them, while the others ones with simple opacity masked for the ribbon renderer in the Niagara system.

THE GROUND PORTAL EFFECT

  • This effect was made in the Niagara system in unreal engine 5.

  • The entire rendering was taken from a level sequencer.

  • The effect also consists of some animated meshed (like the eye)

  • This effect also has multiple Niagara systems.

The meshes and textures

  • One of the meshes used is the thunder meshes made from Houdini.

  • The other mesh is an animated mesh that looks eye-opening, which is made in Maya using the curve tool.

  • The last mesh is the ground symbol mesh that starts casts the portal.
