THE WATER WAKE

  • This effect is made in Niagara effect 5

  • This basically has two different emitters which then combines and give a unified effect.

The niagara emitter

  • There are multiple mesh and sprite emitters used for this one.

  • The rocks have a different emitter, which has a forward velocity.

  • The spikes are scales gradually in a cone shape location.

  • A ground crack effect is just a plane with the crack additive texture on it. (with subtle glow)

The meshes

  • There are two type of meshes used : Plane, sphere, torus, and disc

  • The torus is UVed so that the texture panning is possible from inside to outwards.

  • The disc used also used the same method to UV.

The materials

  • There are basically three materials that play a major role in this effect.

  • one of the materials is used for the ground crack emissive effect.

  • The other one is used for the water wave at the tip of the wake effect.

  • The last one is used for the rock spikes in the emitter.
