The niagara emitter

  • This system has multiple emitters that give the final result.

  • The main effect comes from the material that has a dynamic parameter node, which is then animated in the Niagara system.

  • Each emitter has a color variation node, that allows changing the color of the entire effect as a whole.

  • The other emitter displays the border waves on the rim of the water wheel.

The materials

  • One of the materials is for the main water wheel effect, including the dynamic parameters exposed to the Niagara system.

  • The second material is used for the border waves, it also has dynamic parameters exposed to the Niagara system.

THE WATER WHEEL EFFECT

  • This effect was made in the Niagara system in unreal engine 5.

  • The effect is attached to the player animation itself.

  • The timing is adjusted so that it follows the player's time too.

The meshes and textures

  • One mesh is used which is the disc mesh for the water effect.

  • The other mesh is for the border water waves, which are modeled in Maya.
